"This is a story of my horse (Silky) and his journey with Bariki. Silky is 29 years young and I’m just going to give you a quick history of this horse so that you get

the full picture. Silky enjoyed many years of club and local competitions until he was 14 yrs old and we discovered he had developed cancer in both eyes. After a couple of operations successfully rid him of the cancer and the vet advised to keep a fly vale on at all times if possible. Then when Silky was 19 yrs old he foundered and had a heart condition. The vets were convinced he wouldn’t make it but I stayed with him all night and next day. When the vet rang they were amazed He was eating and happy again. We keep him on river sand for another two months but it didn’t look like I was ever going to be able to ride him again but I was just glad he was ok.

Six months later I watched him day after day run around the paddock like a two year old so I jumped on him again and before I knew it had him jumping and competing again. Silky’s has always been an active and tuff Arab with a heart of gold but in 2011 his condition declined. By the end of the winter I was feeding him four (4) times a day and he was withering away. His mussel had always been black and as he was loosing all the weight the pigment around his lips on one side had changed to pink. By October he had lost more weight, he had always been a fighter but I feared he was slipping away from me this time.

I had kept up with his worming & teeth and watched him eat to make sure there were no problems but everything I tried failed. In November I started him on the Bariki and it only took one week to start seeing a change. Within two weeks I had a happy and energetic horse again and by the third week he started to look like Silky and I couldn’t believe how shiny his coat was. When I started feeding him the Bariki Optimum I gave him about a very small amount and slowly increased it. I’m also giving him about 20ml of the digest once a day. With the amount of feed I was giving to him. In the winter time it was costing me about $40 a week to feed him now he looks and feels great and the feed bill has reduced to about $14 per week. WOW!

We are now 7 weeks on and Silky is back in work and even Showjumping again thanks to Bariki for giving life back to a much loved old horse! I have also been adding digest to two of our other horses and they have never looked better. My daughters little welsh pony is hand feed on a dirt yard as he founders on grass and the Bariki digest has given him better top line and shoulder muscles and a great coat. Everyone who knows the pony says that he looks the best they have ever seen him.

"I was first introduced to Bariki Organics products about a year ago. I had a young warmblood that I had bred who just wasn't thriving. It was mid-summer and he still had part of his winter coat which looked yellow, frizzy and quite horrid. His diet was good, his worming regime strictly up to date, so he was a real mystery and puzzle to me. I started him on the Bariki Optimum and could see the difference within days! His horrible frizzy coat came out and in it's place was a shiny, silky smooth coat. His attitude improved, his chronic mud fever which we had been battling all through spring and summer disappeared and he became a normal, cheeky, healthy, active two year old that you would expect. So, when a new horse arrived in my stables 6 weeks ago who was depressed, stood in the corner and scoured, had rain scald, would not eat and also had a pretty awful coat, I had no hesitation in putting her on both the Bariki Optimum and also Bariki Digest. Once again, we started seeing the difference within a couple of weeks (see photo). Her appetite returned immediately and she now meets me at the gate to try to get a mouthful out of her feed bucket, she has gained weight, has a bright eye and has just started work again. "I have been showing for over 25 years and have tried a lot of products. Some are ok but some are just a waste of hard earned money. About three months ago, I saw an ad in the Horse Deal magazine called BARIKI performance feed and thought, I'd give it a try. If it didn't work, I wouldn't try it again. Within 2 weeks the thoroughbred I needed weight on named Hoy started to improve. I then put the other two t/breds on BARIKI feed as well. 1st t/bred Cronic Windsucker(extremely difficult to keep weight on) within 3 weeks, he stared to look magnificent! Now after 3 months he looks fantastic and he is in paddock condition, but I could show him tomorrow. The 2nd t/bred Cantankerous mare (needed top line, especially on the bum) she now has that after 3 months. She is also in the paddock and the neighbors are even commenting on their condition and they are not horse people!!! 3rd t/bred Hoy needed condition so we stuffed him with feed, but it was a very slow process. As he was under condition when we got him with washy chestnut, but now his condition is great with deep chestnut coat and his attitude is calmer. I recommend this product to anyone who wants to top their horses condition and wants a calmer attitude. I only feed coprice/lucerne hay and 3 of them look magnificent! I had the chiropractor out on January and he said the 3rd horse Hoy's back looked excellent due to his muscle tone (Came to us with major spinal trouble due to bad transport). “I gave Bariki products to my 23 year old Valmont Bonny Lady during the hot summer months in drought conditions. Bonny Lady had been a breeder mare and has had many fouls. Her appetite was down and she was beginning to lose condition and I was concerned. She hadn’t been eating well at the time, but immediately her appetite increased and she seemed happier. Bonnie Lady’s general condition had been average, due to the heat and drought conditions but her conditions improved, including the condition of her coat. For an old gal, she now is frisky.

I then began to give Bariki products to Jindawarra Duke, age four. Duke is picture perfect. His coat shines and Duke really looks good. We have a picture the newspaper took of Duke and I when Duke was featured on Mac’s Butter Showbread Selection tins. We also have the same picture on a large wall hanging.

Jindawarra has seven horses now on Bariki feed and on Bariki water treatment. In drought and stress conditions with a lower quality of hay and feed available, all of the horses have kept their condition and health.
